CPD for Nutritional Therapists

Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Clinical Considerations

This is a BANT-approved, evidence-based comprehensive online education (CPD) for Nutritional Therapists to help you better support your clients with Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis.

IBD is a complex and potentially life-threatening condition that affects millions of people worldwide. Diet and lifestyle play a crucial role in helping people living with IBD manage their symptoms and support their disease, including reducing their risk of malnutrition, complications, hospital visits and could even help reduce their risk of flares.

This CPD is specifically designed to equip you with the latest evidence-based knowledge and practical information you need to safely and effectively support your IBD clients.

How is this different from other CPD courses?

This course is created by clinicians for clinicians to support their clients, prioritising a food-first, positive nutrition and evidence-based approach. It is not sponsored by any supplement or testing companies, unlike much of the CPD available to Nutritional Therapists. As a result, this course provides an unbiased, evidence-based approach alongside practical information built up through years of experience working with IBD clients.

While we take a food-first approach, we do also cover the tests that can be obtained either through IBD clients’ medical teams, GPs or privately, if necessary, to assess disease state and nutritional status. In addition, we cover the evidence-based supplements that may be appropriate for some clients.
